I paid about $400 for mine, but then I had to put in another $300 in maintenance and repairs, but it was so worth it. If you can find one, they’re usually in your budget range. I lost DAW control, but the keyboard is magnificent. I've had a look and the only MIDI controller I can find with Fatar keybed is a Studiologic which is fully weighted, which apparently can become tiresome when playing for long periods.I’ve got an old Novation Remote and it’s pretty good, but I gave it to my daughter and went with a General Music S2. I just don't want to go for all the whistles and bells when I could go for something more focused on the keybed itself. The Novation SL looks good and comes with lots of features and probably great for DAW control. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Fatar keybed on the Waldorf Blofeld I tried was excellent, so I'm thinking something similar - semi-weighted with aftertouch. I'm mainly using Logic and not too concerned about Pads etc and more focused on the keybed.
